La trama ufficiale di Ponyo

Di seguito riporto la breve trama del film in inglese. Attenzione perchè vi sono presenti alcune anticipazioni. Nel weekend provvederò alla traduzione. ^_^

A small town facing the sea.

Sosuke is a boy who lives at a house on a cliff. One day he meets a fish girl called Ponyo who rides a jellyfish and ran away from home. Ponyo puts her head into a jam jar, but can't get out of it and struggles. Sosuke happens to find it and helps her.

Ponyo falls in love with Sosuke and so does Sosuke. "I'll guard you", says Sosuke. However, Ponyo is brought back to the sea by her father Fujimoto. He once quit being a human and became an inhabitant of the sea.

"I want to become human!", says Ponyo. She asks her small sisters for help to steal her father's magic and starts in the human world where Sosuke lives.

The dangerous power of the water of life is released. The sea bulges up, a storm rages and the sisters transform into huge fishes. As a huge tsunami they all rush towards the cliff Sosuke lives at.

A boy and a girl. Love and responsibility. Sea and life. In the age of psychoneurosis and anxiety, this is a story of a mother and child that Miyazaki Hayao depicts without any hesitance.


Traduzione:
In un piccolo paese sul mare.

Sosuke è un ragazzino che vive in una casa su una collina. Un giorno incontra una pesciolina di nome Ponyo che cavalca una medusa ad è scappata di casa. Ponyo spinge la sua testa dentro un vasetto di vetro ma non riesce a liberarsi. Sosuke la trova e l'aiuta a uscire dal vasetto.

Ponyo e Sosuke si innamorano l'una dell'altro. "Ti proteggerò" dice Sosuke. Ma Ponyo viene riportata a casa da suo padre Fujimoto. Il padre una volta era un essere umano ma è diventato un abitante del mare.

"Voglio diventare umana!", dice Ponyo. Così chiede alle sue sorelline di aiutarla a rubare la bacchetta magica del padre e parte per il mondo degli umani dove vive Sosuke.

I pericolosi poteri della vita del mare sono liberati. Il mare si ingrossa, una tempesta imperversa e le sorelline si trasformano in enormi pesci. Come un enorme tsunami si diriggono verso la collina dove vive Sosuke.

Un ragazzino, una ragazzina. Amore e responsabilità. Mare e vita. Nel tempo delle psicosi e dell'ansietà, una storia di una madre e di sua figlia che Miyazaki Hayao descrive senza esitazione.
